  • A programme of ten weekly sessions to support singing in Key Stage 1. Each 45-minute session includes physical warm-ups, musical games and a wide variety of songs of varying difficulties, tailored to the ability of the class. A performance to the rest of the school, and sometimes parents, is arranged at the end of the programme.
  • A CPD session for school staff can also be arranged as part of this programme, to aid class teachers in the development of singing during and after the programme.

Infant Music Parties (Key Stage 1)

  • Two or three infant schools are invited to join together for a one-off session of singing and musical activities.

"Sing2gether!" (Key Stages 2 & 3)

  • A cluster cross-phase project bringing together a secondary school with it's feeder primary schools for a mass choir performance. Each school have three one-hour sessions led by a member of the Singing Support Team, culminating in a final performance with all schools to family and school friends.

High-profile large-scale performances (All key stages)

  • Groups of schools are combined to form a massed choir performance for high-profile concerts throughout the year in Derby Assembly Rooms and Derby Cathedral. Participation in these events is usually by invitation, but we welcome any school to express an interest in being part of these concerts.

Bespoke programmes (All key stages)

  • Bespoke singing programmes and workshops can be tailored to specific needs and occasions of schools. This may include one-off workshops, targeted activities to encourage boys to sing, holiday activities, and for school-organised concerts or events.

Singing Summer Schools (Key stages 2 & 3)

  • Three-day courses are regularly arranged for the start of the summer holidays for pupils in years 3 - 8. These courses feature musical games and activities which lead into work on songs and concert pieces. The course concludes with a performance open to family and friends.
