We are delighted to be holding a String Masterclass where five of our senior students will have the opportunity to work with Morven Bryce on their performance repertoire. The event is open to all NEDMC students, family and friends

Morven Bryce studied at the Royal Academy of Music, London with Erich Gruenberg and the renowned Russian pedagogue, Zakhar Born. Whilst there, she was awarded numerous prizes and scholarships. She was founder and leader of the Tippett Quartet with whom she  received intensive training from both the Amadeus and Borodin String Quartet. The Tippett Quartet later won the Bronze Medal at the Shostakovich International Quartet Competition, St Petersburg and took up the post of Artists in Residence at the University of York.

Since 2003 Morven has appeared as Guest Leader of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London Soloists' Chamber Orchestra and the BBC Concert Orchestra as well as Associate Leader of The Academy of St Martin in the Fields.

She has performed and recorded chamber music with Nigel Kennedy, Joshua Bell, Murray Periah and Andras Schiff both at home and abroad.

As a teacher Morven has conducted performance workshops for the University of York and the Royal Academy of Music, London.
