CCYWB at the National Concert Band Festival Finals

The City & County Youth Wind Band performed at the 2015 National Concert Band Festival Final, at the Royal Northern College of Music, and achieved a PLATINUM award.

After achieving a platinum award at the North West regional heat in November, the City & County Youth Wind Band performed at the 2015 National Final of the National Concert Band Festival at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. After a brilliant performance, the band was awarded another platinum award.

Becoming a member of the City & County Youth Wind Band

Entrance into the City & County Youth Wind Band (CCYWB) is done by audition, where applicants are expected to be of at least grade 6. Competition for places is quite high, and we expect many players who are given a place in this ensemble to be up to, and beyond grade 8 standard.
