Children from 32 primary schools who are learning instruments via the Derby & Derbyshire Music Partnership's Wider Opportunities programme will play alongside the Hallé Orchestra. It is an exciting opportunity for everyone to join in and experience playing with a professional orchestra in a large concert hall setting − a very special experience for all involved.

The attending school children have been learning either Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone, Ukulele, Violin, Viola or Cello since September, and all have been preparing to join with the orchestra to play and sing in three performances during the concert.
