Telemann's "The Frogs" with Glossop Festival Orchestra

Pupils from St. Charles' and St. Luke's Primary Schools in Glossop who are learning instruments via the Derby & Derbyshire Music Partnership's Wider Opportunities programme will play alongside the Glossop Festival Orchestra in a performance of Telemann's "The Frogs" Violin Concerto.

The Wider Opportunities pupils will be play alongside the orchestra taking the role of the croaking frogs, trying at first to interrupt Telemann's music before finally accepting the inevitable and joining in with the orchestra. The orchestra will also be performing Grieg's Holberg Suite and Vivaldi's The Four Seasons as part of this concert.

Derby & Derbyshire Music Partnership offers year-long programmes of whole class music tuition to primary school pupils, delivered by specially trained music teachers and designed to meet the requirement of the National Plan for Music Education Core Role 1.
