Becoming a member of the Derby & Derbyshire Schools' Orchestra

Entrance into the Derby & Derbyshire Schools' Orchestra (DDSO) is done by application, where applicants are expected to be of at least grade 4 standard for strings, and at least grade 6 standard for the wind and brass places, which are limited in number due to the balance of an orchestra. We welcome all applications and carefully review which will be successful depending on the orchestration of the repertoire for each course. Very occasionally we need to audition wind or brass players if we are oversubscribed, to enable us to select the most appropriate players.

Sumit your application to become a member of the Schools' Orchestra, Youth Orchestra or Youth Wind Band now…
