The City & County Youth Orchestra is one of Derby & Derbyshire Music Partnership's flagship ensembles, attracting high-achieving musicians from across the county. Many players progressed into this orchestra from the intermediate-level Derby & Derbyshire Schools' Orchestra. 

Members of the two orchestras will be showcasing the outcomes of their work over the days preceding this concert at the residential course at the Hayes Conference Centre. The concert will include:

Becoming a member of the City & County Youth Orchestra

Entrance into the City & County Youth Orchestra (CCYO) is done by audition, where applicants are expected to be of at least grade 6. Competition for places is quite high, and we expect many players who are given a place in this ensemble to be up to, and beyond grade 8 standard.
