Becoming a member of the City & County Youth Orchestra

Entrance into the City & County Youth Orchestra (CCYO) is done by audition, where applicants are expected to be of at least grade 6. Competition for places is quite high, and we expect many players who are given a place in this ensemble to be up to, and beyond grade 8 standard.

Applications to the Derby & Derbyshire Schools' Orchestra (DDSO) and to audition for the City & County Youth Orchestra (CCYO) and Wind Band (CCYWB) can be made at any time with auditions running at different times of the year.
