The Derby & Derbyshire Schools' Orchestra is a county-level intermediate orchestra acting as a stepping stone to the City & County Youth Orchestra.

The orchestra will be showcasing the outcomes of their work over the days preceding this concert at the residential course at the Hayes Conference Centre. The concert will include:

  • Verdi  Nabucco Overture
    Bernstein 
    West Side Story (arr. Jack Mason) 
    Suppe
      Fatinitza March
  • Caroline Hobbs-Smith  Conductor
  • + music from folk group Threaded and the Carnelian Saxophone Quartet
