Young musicians from Wirksworth Music Centre will be performing at the following concerts this spring…


Spring Winds Concert

  • Sunday 18 March 2017, 7.30pm − Members' Room, County Hall, Derbyshire County Council, DE4 3AG

This concert includes: Choir (directed by Rachel Wilkes), 9 O'Clock Band (directed by Mat Davis), Intermediate Band (directed by Mat Davis), Senior Wind Band (directed by Nick Stacey) and Intermediate Recorders (directed by Nick Stacey)

Tickets − £3.50 Adults, Under 18s Free. One ticket covers both concerts.


Spring Strings Concert

  • Saturday 21 April 2018, 7.00pm − Wirksworth United Reformed Church, Wirksworth DE4 4FB

This concert includes: Funky Strings (directed by Davina Donaldson), Intermediate Strings (directed by Chris Dixon), Senior Strings (directed by David Francis), Senior Recorders (directed by Chris Dixon), Junior Recorders (directed by Jenny Acons) and Guitars (directed by Julie Suett)

Tickets − £3.50 Adults, Under 18s Free. One ticket covers both concerts.

We are a thriving music centre aimed mainly at school age pupils. Although based at Anthony Gell School in Wirksworth we draw music-makers from Matlock, Ashbourne and the wider White Peak area.
Wirksworth Music Centre hosts groups and activities for young musicians from beginner to advanced abilities in the Wirksworth and West Derbyshire region of Derbyshire.
