We're proud to present many events from the partners of the hub every academic year, featuring performances from thousands of musicians across all of Derbyshire
With a diverse range of groups and ensembles, these events show the hard work and talent of our young musicians and delivery partners across the city and county.
Ceilidh at South East Derbyshire Music Centre
With a live Ceilidh band, food and drinks on sale, and a range of stalls and games, the Ceilidh is one of the big fundraising events ahead of the summer tour.

Annual Dark Peak Music Gala Concert
The annual Gala concert at the Octagon in Buxton is one of the main events of the Dark Peak calendar, featuring all the ensembles in one spectacular performance.
The concert showcases all our musicians from the youngest, some of whom will be making their debut in their first proper concert, through to advanced groups including the national award-winning Dark Peak Concert Band.

Peak District Big Band and Peak District Wind Band will perform in the bandstand in Buxton Pavilion Gardens for an afternoon of music and entertainment.

Intermediate Musical Theatre Co Present: The Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition
The Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition is a one-hour adaptation of The Wizard of Oz, specially tailored for young performers. L. Frank Baum’s beloved story of a young girl’s adventure in a magical land has been entertaining audiences for over a century.

Summer Concert and Garden Party
Join Dark Peak Music for their traditional end of year concert and Garden Party in the beautiful surroundings of Old Glossop Parish Church.
Split across two performances to accommodate the large audience, the event is the grand finale of our year, with stirring performance from all our groups from junior to advanced level.

Dark Peak Young Musician of the Year 2024
The Young Musician of the Year is an opportunity for children and students of any level to come along and perform a piece of their own choice in a friendly, relaxed setting.
The event is very informal and a great opportunity for young players to gain confidence and show their amazing achievements to friends, parents and grandparents.

A concert featuring SDMC Concert Band, Youth Choir, Community Choir and Cantabile Choir.

Derby & Derbyshire Youth Orchestras Summer Concerts
The City & County Youth Orchestra and the intermediate-level Derby & Derbyshire Schools' Orchestra bring together many of the most talented young musicians from schools and music centres across the city and county.
These two concerts are a culmination of residential courses for both ensembles at the Hayes Conference Centre earlier in the week.
