Derby & Derbyshire Music Partnership is looking to expand its team of teachers for Whole Class Ensemble Teaching programmes.

DDMP logoDerby & Derbyshire Partnership welcomes applications from instrumental teachers to become part of its delivery team for Whole Class Ensemble Teaching (WCET). 

The majority of our Whole Class Ensemble Teaching is undertaken delivering Wider Opporutnities programmes on Strings, Woodwind, Brass, Ukuleles and Percussion to Key Stage 2 classes.

  • Working arrangements: WCET teachers are offered programmes for an academic year when schools book in the spring term. The number of programmes may vary depending on demand, and the work is paid for by the school who have booked the programme. 
  • Training: Successful applicants will be paired with a deliverer to complete a training year, after which they will be offered programmes of their own.
  • Interview: Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an online interview at a time to be arranged.
  • References: References will be taken if successful at interview.
  • Enhanced DBS checks: All successful applicants will be subject to Enhanced DBS checks. A DBS check is a record of a person’s criminal convictions and cautions, carried out by the Disclosure and Barring Service. An Enhanced DBS check covers spent and unspent convictions, reprimands, cautions, and final warnings and any other relevant information held by police, plus a check of DBS barred lists. Any information shown will be used to ascertain a candidate’s suitability for role.
