Lay Down Your Own Beats

Learn how to lay down a great beat with 10 easy-to-follow activities from Ableton.

What to do

  • Follow the link | Head over to the Ableton website and start at activity #1.

  • Explore | Work your way through all 10 activities and the different sounds you can create from the electric kit. Explore the We Will Rock You and Single Ladies beats.
  • Create | Put all this learning into practice and create your own beats!

  • What you'll need for this | You need to be able to play 4 chords - A minor, F, G and E minor. If you haven’t got an instrument at home there are lots of virtual instruments that you can find online.
