Summer Rock School

Summer Rock School is perfect for anyone who plays an instrument and wants to experience being in a band! For ages 11-19 | DCAS Studios, Chesterfield | 2-5 August

DDMP logoIf you love playing an instrument and want to experience being in a band, our Rock Summer School is perfect for you!

Over 4 days you will have an opportunity to jam with others and create ideas for songs, and with a series of workshops and time with our tutors, develop those ideas into songs.

There'll be sessions on developing performance skills, musicianship, writing lyrics, shaping song structures, and how to set up for a gig.

The last day of the summer school is extended to include a performance to friends and family.

It's a perfect chance to meet other people with similar interests, make friends and create music!

  • Cost
£50 per pupil for all 4 days
Pupils will need to bring a packed lunch and refreshments each day.
Amplifiers, mics and drums are provided, but guitars and other instruments need to be brought.
