Get a taste for how Classroom Instrumental Learning can complement your school music provision with one of our shorter and accessible programmes.
Our fully inclusive programmes give children the opportunity to learn an instrument in their classroom environment, developing confidence and self-esteem whilst supporting curriculum learning – supported by the National Plan for Music Education and the Model Music Curriculum.
A typical project includes:
- Musicianship and instrumental skills
The interrelated dimensions of music such as beat, rhythm, tempo, pitch and dynamics are introduced to and explored with children through songs, rhythm games and instrumental learning.
- Introduction to musical instruments
Accessible types of instruments are used as a doorway into exploring the world of instrumental learning.
- Confidence and self-esteem
Pupils are taught within a normal classroom setting, encouraging the growth of self-confidence as they learn alongside each other and their teachers. Performances are arranged to give parents the opportunity to share in children's successes.
- Specialist teaching staff
All programmes are delivered by a specialist music teacher
- Consultancy
Schools that book Classroom Instrumental Learning can access 2 hours of consultancy time to review curriculum music.
