Project Show Choir
A project for KS1 or KS2 with ten 30 or 45 minute sessions each leading to a massed performance, delivered by a singing specialist
Project Show Choir is designed specially for school choirs of any standard and ability. The project can explore new and invigorating repertoire or support schools in preparing for upcoming shows or performances.
This project is flexible to be delivered in curriculum or lesson time or as a co-curricular activity at lunch or after school, depending on the needs of the school. It is flexible to include children from the same key stage, or a mixture of KS1 and 2.
A typical project includes:
- Fun warm ups
Activities that can be used at any point in the day to focus attention, re-energise and improve listening and concentration skills.

A focus of the project is to deliver an impressive ensemble performance at a very high standard that is challenging but achievable, combining vocal and dramatic techniques.
- Repertoire and singing skills
Children will develop their skills in singing in harmony, multiple parts and rounds whilst covering a wide range of repertoire such a pop, musical theatre, rock and traditional.
- Performance
Parents are invited to hear everything that has been achieved in a performance to celebrate the success of the pupils involved.
- On-going CPD and resources
The project provides school staff with the opportunity to observe and boost their confidence at leading singing with their pupils. All resources will be provided.
