Singing Stars

Singing Stars is an in-depth development of singing and musicianship skills that follows the National Curriculum for Music and the new Model Music Curriculum.

A typical project includes:

• Fun warm ups
  Activities that can be used at any point in the day to focus attention, re-energise and improve listening and concentration skills.
• Vocal development
  We introduce a range of repertoire to develop vocal skills from simple pitch-matching activities, echo songs in unison to rounds and partner songs, where appropriate.
• Musicianship skills
  Development happens through a range of singing games and rhymes, concentrating on the steady pulse, pitch, tempo, dynamics and the rhythm of the words.
• Performance
  The final lesson is usually an informal performance to other classes or parents - depending on what is appropriate for your setting.
• On-going CPD
  CPD is a big part of this project where class teachers learn by participating in the lesson. Resources and advice is provided upon request.
