A flexible range of singing programmes and workshops are available to meet the specific needs and timetables of individual schools – including Silent Singing to in response to the extra control measures in place at the moment

Featured: Silent Singing Projects

With extra control measures in place at the moment, Silent Singing using Makaton signing is an exciting alternative for KS2 classes to continue music-making for those schools that would prefer not to sing with their pupils right now.

Projects for Key Stage 1

Singing Stars (Key Stage 1)

A programme of ten weekly sessions to support singing in Key Stage 1. Each 45-minute session includes physical warm-ups, musical games and a wide variety of songs of varying difficulties, tailored to the ability of the class.

A performance to the rest of the school, and sometimes parents, is arranged at the end of the programme.

A CPD session for school staff can also be arranged as part of this programme, to aid class teachers in the development of singing during and after the programme.

Infant Music Parties (Key Stage 1)

Two or three infant schools are invited to join together for a one-off session of singing and musical activities.

Bespoke programmes

Bespoke singing programmes and workshops can be tailored to specific needs and occasions of schools. This may include one-off workshops, targeted activities to encourage boys to sing, holiday activities, and for school-organised concerts or events.

Projects for Key Stage 2

"Sing2gether!"

A cluster cross-phase project bringing together a secondary school with its feeder primary schools for a mass choir performance. Each school have three one-hour sessions led by a member of the Singing Support Team, culminating in a final performance with all schools to family and school friends.

Singing Summer Schools

Three-day courses are regularly arranged for the start of the summer holidays for pupils in years 3 - 8. These courses feature musical games and activities which lead into work on songs and concert pieces. The course concludes with a performance open to family and friends.
