Music Production Project for KS4

A music production project for KS4 pupils running from June to September 2024

Derby & Derbyshire Music Partnership, Derby University, Dubrek Studios and Create Define Release are offering an exciting multiple-strand offer to secondary schools offering Key Stage 4 Music in Derby.

The strands of this project have been created to provide a progressive plan for pupils to engage with from June - September 2024, however, schools and pupils are welcome to attend some or all of the elements in a way that is most beneficial for each setting.

Strand 1: Workshop taster session in school

Create Define Release will deliver six in-school workshops lasting up to an hour on Monday 10 and Monday 17 June including sessions on introduction to Music Producing, led by industry experts in music producing, discussion around pathways, careers and signposting.

Booking a workshop

To book a workshop, please let us know the times you could do by the end of Friday 24 May.

For both dates we are offering slots for early morning, late morning and afternoon, and you will be asked to provide times that work around your timetable.

We won't allocate workshops on a first-come-first-served basis, but the earlier you let us know will help us organise the workshops alongside the availability of workshop leaders. We can only offer six workshops in total.
