Project Show Choir
A project for KS3-5 with ten 30 or 45 minute sessions each leading to a massed performance, delivered by a singing specialist
Project Show Choir is designed specially for school choirs of any standard and ability. The project can explore new and invigorating repertoire or support schools in preparing for upcoming shows or performances.
This project is designed to be delivered co-curricular activity at lunch or after school, or if needed during lesson time depending on the needs of the school. It is flexible to include pupils from mixed Key Stages, or of similar age groups if required.
A typical project includes:
- Musical warm ups
Activities designed to focus attention, re-energise and improve listening and concentration skills.
- Performance excellence
A focus of the project is to deliver an impressive ensemble performance at a very high standard that is challenging but achievable, combining vocal and dramatic techniques.
- Repertoire and singing skills
Pupils will develop their skills in singing in harmony, multiple parts and rounds whilst covering a wide range of repertoire such a pop, musical theatre, rock and traditional.
- Show or performance prep
This project is ideal to help schools in the preparation of shows and performances involving choirs or ensemble singing.
- On-going CPD
The project provides school staff with the opportunity to observe and boost their confidence in singing with their pupils. All resources will be provided.
How much does Project Show Choir cost?
The cost is £520 for 10 45-minute sessions or £300 for 10 30-minute sessions.
