Young musicians from Dark Peak Music Foundation will be showcasing their talents at the following upcoming events:
Brass Festival Weekend
29 February – March 1 2020
The Victoria Arts Centre, Glossop
A weekend of workshops for our junior and senior brass ensembles, led by the Curzon Brass Quintet – final year students from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, including ex-Dark Peak horn player Tom Hayes)
Friday 3 April 2020, 7.00pm
The Octagon, Pavilion Gardens, Buxton
Featuring all our groups and esembles – Junior Strings (directed by Emma Dixon), Chinley Junior Band (directed by Rosie Crook), Glossop Junior Wind Band (directed by Jeff Snowdon), Intermediate Strings (directed by Emma Dixon), Intermediate WInd Band (directed by Sarah Hind), Senior Strings (directed by Emma Dixon), Wind and Brass Chamber Groups, Dark Peak Sinfonia (directed by Jeff Snowdon) and a massed band of Dark Peak Concert Band and Peak District Wind Band (directed by Jeff Snowdon and Gareth Widdowson).
This event is in collaboration with Peak District Music Centres.
