Young musicians from Derby Music Centre will be performing at the following events this wintertime...


Rush Hour Concert for Clubs, Juniors with guests from City Primary Schools 

  • Wednesday 6 March, 6.00pm
    St. Nicholas Church, Allestree

Fabulous performances from out Clubs and Junior Ensembles with the added treat of primary school brass and woodwind players who are engaged in Further Opportunities instrumental scheme. There will be a varied range of pieces and also lots of wonderful solos and duets to enjoy. Concert to include: Further Opportunties group (directed by Natalia Gee), Wind Club (directed by Ben Henderson), String Club and Junior Strings (directed by John Miller), Junior Wind Band (directed by Tom Jones)

Ceilidh 

  • Saturday 9 March, 6.30pm
    St. Nicholas Church, Allestree

A fantastic lively evening of live music and dance, with Sarah Matthews and her folk group.

Tickets − £5, £20 family ticket, available on the door


Folk Workshop 

  • Saturday 23 March
    Derby Music Centre (Saint Benedict Catholic Voluntary Academys)

An opportunity for DMC students interested in exploring folk music in a practical workshop led by Sarah Matthews
