Young musicians from Dark Peak Music Foundation will be performing at the following concerts this spring.


Pop-up Concert 

Sunday 24 March, 3.00pm − Glossop Parish Church

Our younger ensembles will have an opportunity to showcase their work this term at their own "Pop-up" Concert in Old Glossop Parish Church. This will involve the Glossop and Chinley Junior Wind Bands, the Junior and Intermediate Strings. The Dalcroze Class will also be giving a short demonstration of their work over the term. This "Pop-up" concert will also be a performance platform for any players (any age or standard) to come and perform solos or small ensemble items.


Orchestra of the Peaks Concert 

Friday 12 April − St. John's Church, Buxton SK17 6XN

Dark Peak Music players will be joining with Peak District Music Centres musicians to form the Orchestra of the Peaks in a conert featuring Sibelius's Finlandia among others. This concert also includes the Dark Peak Concert Band (directed by Jeff Snowdon), Dark Peak Intermediate Wind Band (directed by Sarah Hind) and a combined Dark Peak and Peak District String Orchestra (directed by Gavin Usher).
