South Derbyshire Music Centre is proud to be presenting their groups and ensembles at the following concerts this winter.


A Prelude to Christmas 

Sunday 2 December 2017, 4.00pm − St Wystan's Church, Bretby DE15 0RD

Start your Christmas here with a mix of seasonal choral music from Cantabile Choir (directed by Philip King) and readings, all performed in the beautiful country church. The concert will last just over an hour and will be followed by mulled wine.

Christmas Cracker − Matinee Concert 

Saturday 8 December, 2.00pm − The Coton Centre, Tamworth B79 9AA

This concert includes: Family Brass Band (directed by Samantha Pope), Community Christmas Choir (directed by Sara Kimber), Club Band (directed by John Wallis), Junior Band (directed by Natalia Gee), Intermediate Band (directed by Peter Glenville and Matt Pope), Swing Band (directed by Matt Pope), Youth Choir (directed by Sara Kimber), pBuzz Group (directed by Becca Pope)

Christmas Cracker − Evening Concert

This concert includes: Family Brass Band (directed by Samantha Pope), Junior Voices (directed by Natalie Gee), Youth Choir (directed by Sara Kimber), Cantabile (directed by Philip King), Senior Wind Band (directed by Mat Pope and Peter Glenville).

Christmas Brass and Voices 

Sunday 16 December, 2.30pm − St. George's Church, Ticknall DE73 7JU

Join us in this splendid setting for a sumptuous feast of choral music together with seasonal readings. The afternoon concert will last around 1 and a quarter hours, with mulled wine and mince pieces being served afterwards.
