Rainbows Christmas Concert

Derby Music Centre, South Derbyshire Music Centre and a massed choir of Derbyshire primary school children come together to perform at one of the largest funraising events of the year for Rainbows hospice

Rainbows

This is one of the Rainbow's Hospice biggest fund raising events of the year - they provide specialist respite, palliative and end-of-life care for children and young people from the East Midlands with life limiting or life-threatening conditions, and support their family and friends.

Every year, Derby Music Centre, South Derbyshire Music Centre and the Derby & Derbyshire Music Partnership support this concert, which provides much needed funding for this worthy local charity.

Performers include:

  • Senior Brass Ensemble from Derby Music Centre (directed by Tom Jones)
Cantabile Choir from South Derbyshire Music Centre (directed by Philip King)
    Ben Giliker (solo violin)
Primary Children's Choir with children from Asterdale Primary, Brookfield Primary, Repton Primary and Melbourne Junior (directed by Rachel Wilkes)
