Musical Exchanges
An 8-session project for EYFS children and staff, delivered by early years music specialists. This project is offered to select schools who have had Musical Gems – funded by Youth Music
Musical Exchanges has been developed to support the prime and specific areas of learning as set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. It is an extention project from Musical Gems and available by invite only.
The programme encourages staff and music leaders to work together, facilitatingsessions that respond to the children’s interests, suggestions and musical identities. Children are given agency by bringing together focused group activity and child-initiatedmusic-making.
The children love it. We love it. The whole project is amazing. We are looking athow to use this in our yearly plans and truly embed what we are learning.
